I know we read The Hunger Games a couple of years ago (thank you, Kashia). I am sure everyone knows the movie came out two weeks ago. I went to see it with some friends and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole movie. I loved the actress that played Katniss. The movie did have some violence. I am not sure how they could have told the story with0ut portraying at least some violence. I thought the casting was well done. I felt the movie was visually appealing. I can't really think of anything I didn't like. I liked how they played up the "game show" aspect of the hunger games to help viewers understand the plot. I loved her fire dress. Apparently the author helped with the screen play. I am hopeful that the movies (screenplays) will fix what I didn't like about the third book (in my opinion Katniss had a personality change).

I did not want to watch this movie because I like the way the books played out in my mind. I got it for my family to watch, because they wanted it so I did see little snatches of it. I am glad I did not watch the whole thing, because I really like the series in my head and I don't want to change that.

AuthorMy name is Elizabeth. I love to read. In college I took speed reading and kept a list of everything I read (I wish I could find that list!). As a teen I would read under the blankets half the night. As a child I first patronized the book mobile and later read entire sections of books from the school library. Now, with dozens of books on my "want to read" list, I tend to doze off if I read at night and I am usually in the middle of several books at one time. Archives
